Webinar: Pathologies in MSK Ultrasound versus other medical imaging techniques

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is very widely used in clinical practice. Besides some areas in which evidence of its clinical utility is well established, there are others in which the use of ultrasound is suboptimal or not indicated. In this two-part seminar, we will discuss the specific clinical indications pertinent to ultrasound in the upper and the lower limb, with examples compared to other imaging modalities, to show the advantages and limitations of ultrasound in these settings.

Objectifs pédagogiques

  • To understand the main clinical indications of musculoskeletal ultrasound in the upper and lower limbs
  • To compare the diagnostic performance of ultrasound with that of other imaging modalities, to understand the advantages and limitations of this imaging modality in different clinical scenario
The objective of this 2-part webinar is to know in detail the clinical indications of ultrasound in the upper and the lower limb. You will understand when to use (and, more importantly, when not to use!) ultrasound in clinical practice.

  • Part 1: Upper Extremity - March 21st, 2022 - 7:00 - 8:30 PM CET
  • Part 2: Lower Extremity - March 28th, 2022 - 7:00 - 8:30 PM CET
In this webinar series, we will show the main clinical indications of musculoskeletal ultrasound in the upper and lower limbs. This will be done through the analysis of literature and with case presentation, comparing the diagnostic performance of ultrasound with that of other imaging modalities, to understand the advantages and limitations of this imaging modality in different clinical scenario.
