Expand your knowledge on post-shoulder surgery pain in our 90-min webinar presented by Ryan Williams. Master ultrasound's role in assessing surgeries, discerning expected vs. abnormal outcomes. Sharpen your triage skills for tailored interventions—therapy, injections, or surgical referrals. Elevate diagnostics to unveil hidden pathologies. Secure your spot today!

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

  • How to integrate the use of ultrasound to evaluate pain after rotator cuff repair and long head of the biceps tendon surgeries.
  • Become familiar and understand expected postoperative findings given various types of surgical implants and material compared to abnormal findings after surgery.
  • Identify appropriate triage depending on ultrasound findings for further intervention such as continued physical therapy, diagnostic and therapeutic injection/aspiration or referral for further surgical consultation.
  •  Recognize additional pathologies and complications that may be causing the patient's pain and symptoms that were not addressed or separate from previous surgical intervention

Why should follow this on line ultrasound after surgery course?:

Pain after shoulder surgery including rotator cuff repair and long head of the biceps tendon procedures can be a challenging diagnostic problem. Ultrasound has a role as part of routine evaluation including history and physical exam, repeat x-rays, and potentially MRI to help determine areas of new or continue pathology in the setting of surgery. Being familiar with common surgical procedures such as rotator cuff repair implants, suture material, augments and placement around the shoulder helps the sonographer and clinician understand what may be expected after surgery and what is pathologic and unexpected. Additionally, when no failure of the surgery is identified with the diagnostic evaluation, ultrasound can help with a diagnostic injection to additional structures around the shoulder.
