Camiel Verhamme

Neurologist

Dr. Camiel Verhamme trained as a physician at Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen. He then trained as a neurologist at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) in Amsterdam. He combined this training with doctoral research, which culminated in a thesis entitled Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A: natural course, pathophysiology and treatment. Since 2008, he has worked as a neurologist/clinical neurophysiologist at the AMC. He is specifically interested in neuromuscular patient care and neuromuscular research, which focuses on optimization of diagnosis and follow-up of inflammatory diseases of peripheral nerves and muscles.
