Join this compresenhive 3 part series on shoulder ultrasound. Each series of 1,5 hour will focus on a specific region of the shoulder. We will review the theory and practice ultrasound skills of several important osseous, cartilaginous, capsuloligamentous, myogenic, neurogenic, and vascular structures. We will not only have a look at normal anatomy, but also discuss some interesting pathology cases.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

1. Shoulder anatomy
2. Shoulder sonoanatomy
3. Transducer positions to scan static tissues
4. Scanning dynamical shoulder movements
5. Pathology recognition of several shoulder pathologies
6. All content is on an intermediate level

The aim of this 3 part course is deepening the ultrasound examination of the shoulder. We will discuss (sono)anatomy, transducer positions and sonopathology positions on an intermediate level with adding more in depth information and new positions to your foundational level knowledge and skills. We will review the theory and practice ultrasound skills of several important osseous, cartilaginous, capsuloligamentous, myogenic, neurogenic, and vascular structures. The parts will discuss the following tissues:

Part 1 (ventral shoulder): long head of the biceps tendon, pectoralis major tendon, rotator interval, subscapularis, anterior labrum and several bursa's. Furthermore, we will discuss the coracoid process region incl. the short head of the biceps, coracobrachialis, pectoralis minor, coracoacromial ligament, coracohumeral ligament, coracoclavicular ligament, SC joint.

Part 2 (superior shoulder): supraspinatus tendon and muscle, acromiohumeral distance, suprascapular nerve, subacromial-subdeltoid bursa, AC-joint.

Part 3 (dorsal and inferior shoulder): infraspinatus, teres minor, dorsal and inferior labrum, axillary recess, quadrilateral space, suprascapular nerve.

To make sure that all level 1 and 2 shoulder ultrasound skills will be placed in the bigger framework of clinical relevancy, clinical reasoning and clinical decision making, we will discuss all anatomy, pathology and transducer positions to the clinical examination and/or dynamical scanning. This course is totally evidence based, and of fantastic quality, and is a must-follow for all sonographers who work with shoulder patients.

We will also share with you some interesting literature which you can study after the webinar to deepen your knowledge.

PARTS:
Part 1: Ventral shoulder, theory and explained practice
Part 2: Supraspinatus region, theory and explained practice
Part 3: Dorsal and inferior shoulder, theory and explained practice
Please note: all parts can be booked separately
