Certified Hand Therapist

Tom Lattré is a certified hand therapist with over 15 years of experience in upper limb rehabilitation. He holds a Master’s degree in Kinesitherapy & Rehabilitation (2003) and has run a private practice in Ieper since 2006. He earned both Belgian and European certifications in hand therapy and has worked extensively with patients recovering from tendon repairs, nerve injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and complex regional pain syndrome. His training includes dry needling for the upper limb, musculoskeletal ultrasound, scar therapy (including experience at UZ Leuven’s burn centre), and specialized rehabilitation for musicians. Tom also worked at Waregem Hospital for nearly two decades, refining his expertise in orthopedic and post-surgical recovery.

Alongside clinical practice, Tom is an active researcher and international speaker. He has authored several peer-reviewed articles on topics like immersive virtual reality in rehabilitation and wrist diagnostics, with recent publications in Hand Surgery & Rehabilitation and Muscle & Nerve. He regularly presents at European conferences and has served as President of the Belgian Hand Therapists association. Tom’s approach combines hands-on care with the latest innovations in therapy—ensuring patients receive evidence-based, personalized treatment for even the most complex hand, wrist, and elbow conditions.
