Ruben Haesendonck
Emergency Physician
Dr. Ruben Haesendonck is a dedicated emergency physician with postgraduate training in disaster management, tropical medicine, and public health. His expertise is grounded in both clinical excellence and field experience, having worked in high-intensity environments across the globe, including missions in Haiti and Iraq with Médecins Sans Frontières.
With a strong focus on trauma care, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and toxicology, Ruben combines hands-on clinical skills with a passion for teaching. He is an ATLS instructor, course director for POCUS training, and currently serves as president of the Belgian Emergency Ultrasound Society (BEUS).
